How would you describe what you do?
I’m a DJing, bass playing, vintage stylist.
How long have you been doing it?
I’ve been DJing, playing bass and collecting vintage clothes for 15 years. I started styling three years ago accidentally when my friend’s bands started asking me to style them.
What do you love about it?
I love that I can make a living from being creative and doing what I want to do.
What are you most proud of or most excited about?
I’m very excited for the launch of the online store What Goes Around Comes Around. I directed and styled editorial shoots that showcase the store’s amazing vintage clothing. Check out the site and stay tuned! http://www.whatgoesaroundnyc.com/
Is there anything coming up that really excites you?
A Miami vacation.
Who or what is your greatest inspiration? What makes you the happiest?
Honestly, David Bowie. He’s able to recreate himself so many times and still puts out killer music. If I’m feeling sad, I put on Bowie.
What do you like to spend your money on?
Food. I love to eat good food and never blink twice when paying the bill.
Who or what do you love most in the world and why?
I love director Alejandro Jodorowsky. His films evoke wild imagery and tell stories of love, poverty and enlightenment. I always enjoy showing Holy Mountain or Santa Sangre to people unaware of his work. Their minds become instantly blown!
If you weren’t doing what you’re doing now, what would you be doing or like to be doing?
I would like to be playing music and traveling the world.
Who do you think is the most underrated artist (any type of artist: musician, chef, etc.) in the world right now?
My old band mate Bosco Delrey. He fell in love and moved to Paris. Since living there, he wrote a masterpiece of an album that is coming out very soon.
What is your most valued possession?
My dad’s art collection. I have some amazing Erte and Salvador Dali pieces that are priceless to me.
What are your three favorite places on the planet?
Atlanta, New Orleans and Jamaica.
If you were a bumper sticker, what would it say?
DON’T FRACK MY MOTHER!
