Susi Mai grew up living the carefree life of a beach girl in the Dominican Republic, where her German windsurfing parents moved when she was five years old. After only eight months of practicing kiteboarding as a teenager, she placed 2nd in her first international PKRA competition and remained in their top five for six years. She was Maui King of the Air three years in a row. Susi is president and co-founder of MaiTai Global, a technology and extreme sporting conference held around the world 11 times per year, and designer of her own women’s kite gear line, Siren.
