HAIR STYLIST, MAKE-UP ARTIST (NEW YORK)
Sacha Harford was born in Kingston, Jamaica. She attended elementary school on the island and at the age of twelve moved to south Florida. In those formative years, Sacha excelled in art and was placed in advanced art classes in high school. Upon graduation, Sacha was accepted to prestigious art colleges such as Pratt, Ringling and Parsons.
She attended Parsons School of Design in New York City at age 19. Shortly after, she was scouted as a model. In her newly found profession, Sacha quickly became aware of the teams of artists working behind the camera. As well, she cultivated a love of people and the natural ability to draw, paint and sculpt. This is when her interest evolved into makeup art.
Sacha’s background in makeup began as a freelance artist with Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. She then went on to work for every major makeup company including: Nars, Stila, MAC, Makeup Forever, Armani, Laura Mercier and Lorac to name a few. With hard work and a flexible approach, she made a name for herself on photo sets and was able to start off in the world of freelance artistry.
After years of set work as a makeup artist, Sacha discovered her talent for hairstyling. Realizing her ability as a hairstylist and her passion for hair and makeup, she then attended Carsten Aveda Institute in New York City and received her cosmetology license. Afterwards, she went on to apprentice at the Yves Durif Salon at The Carlyle Hotel in NYC where she continues to work as a freelance artist.
Sacha Harford is a team player, she enjoys working with the community of visionaire artist in her industry, her inspirations from Talents such as Pat Mcgrath, Oribe, Orlando Pita, Kabuki and her drive to grow as an artist has lead her to work with some amazing talents.
