Imagista’s dance and performing arts editor, Kerry Stichweh, began her journey in the dance world at age five in her hometown of Pensacola, Florida. Based in New York City for the last 17 years, Kerry Stichweh has produced, directed and choreographed more than 20 dance, opera, theatre and intermedia productions, presented at The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, Whitney Museum of American Art, American Dance Festival, Yale University and worldwide. She has also worked and performed with Merce Cunningham, Matthew Barney, Fisher Spooner, Mark Morris, Zilvinas Kempinas, American Virtuosi and many others.
Complementing her performance career, Stichweh has spent over 17 years in high-end residential design for notable private clients and founded a design firm recognized by Elle Décor on their “The A-List of Top Design Talents” in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Her work has been published in Elle Décor, Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, Coastal Living, Traditional Home and other prestigious design magazines. She holds a BBA from Cox Business School with International Business emphasis from University of Copenhagen and additional Dance and Theatre studies with the Royal Danish Ballet and Tadashi Suzuki in Toga, Japan. She holds her MFA in dance and direction from Hollins University/American Dance Festival and she recently completed the Producers program at UCLA’s School of Film and Television. Currently she is currently producing her first films: Cunningham 3D and a branded documentary for HBO networks. She is also producing and directing her first feature length political documentary
