Los Angeles has a rich history of launching hard-rocking bands with an edge; hard-hitting groups like Jane’s Addiction, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eagles of Death Metal, Rage Against the Machine that have stood the test of time all come to mind. So, when Imagista heard Dead Sara it made complete sense to us that they were from LA and that they intended, much like their predecessors, on taking no prisoners. It’s especially refreshing, however, that Dead Sara are fronted by two very dynamic women: singer Emily Armstrong and guitarist Siouxsie Medley.
The band is currently recording and a new album is due out soon. Their recordings are raw and powerful, but only hint at the energy of their live shows where they have been riveting audiences.
Dead Sara are also comprised of a power house rhythm section in the form of bassist Chris Null and drummer Sean Friday. Don’t miss a chance to see them live in an intimate venue so you can say “I heard them when…”
