MICHAEL WILLIAMS Founder & Creative Director
An award winning photographer and director, Imagista’s founder, Michael Williams began his creative career as a photographer. He has shot covers for Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, andBazaar, as well as Naomi Campbell’s first covers for Elle and Bazaar UK. Throughout his creative career Michael has shot for virtually every major glossy magazine on the planet as well as directing major TV commercials. His work has appeared in numerous photography books and shows including a major one man show at The Museum of Modern Art in Antwerp.

We publish Imagista in order to inspire our audience—and empower—the creative community, in this, the digital era.

But unlike so many publications about creativity and culture—we do not report from atop the mountain looking down. Our lens is in the hands of the very subjects before our camera: our contributors, our talents, our creators, the conduit to visual innovation across an amalgam of disciplines and genres.

Our contributor’s stories in their words (or images)—on our pages.

Imagista was born from the desire to create and to inspire, not from a board room or even a bungalow in Silicon Valley. We are a global creative community and I am a publisher. And as such, I merely invite you to look and to read—and to never stop believing in the power of creativity.
